Flywheel driven test stand

Flywheel driven test stands are designed for very high power and short testing time.

When the duration of the torque is no issue, this test stand is a good alternative for a brake stand. A small motor and a simple brake can provide high torque. So normal power supply will be sufficient.


The Flywheel driven test stands are used for couplings and torque limiters to test overload torque. For example torque limiters can be tested at real dynamic power: 500 kW at 1500 rpm load using only 15 kW motor.
